In a Nutshell

US officials and their families have suffered traumatic brain injuries from directed microwave energy attacks since at least 2014, with Russia implicated through Unit 29155 operatives and a portable weapon recently acquired by US agents for $15 million. Government agencies have systematically denied or minimized these incidents despite medical evidence, video footage, and intelligence showing a pattern targeting high-performing officers working against Russia. The attacks have created widespread fear among intelligence personnel, with the US government failing to acknowledge the threat or provide adequate support to victims.

In 2016 and 2017, 25 Americans, including CIA agents who worked in the US embassy in Cuba, suffered serious brain injuries, causing impaired vision and memory loss, among other persistent symptoms. At least 15 American officials in China suffered unexplained brain trauma soon after. The FBI is now investigating whether these Americans were attacked by a mysterious weapon that leaves no trace.

Mark Lindsay is a State Department security officer who worked in the US consulate in Guangzhou, China. In November 2017, he started to feel lightheaded frequently and began getting more headaches. His wife was also experiencing headaches. Lindsay and his wife began to suffer after hearing strange sounds in their apartment.

Lindsay describes the sound as similar to holding a marble in a six-inch diameter metal funnel, where the marble makes a progressively faster sound as it goes down towards the hole at the end. The sound was somewhat loud and occurred three or four times, always in the same spot, always over his son's crib, and always right before going to bed.

Lindsay wears prescribed glasses because sensitivity to light is among his persistent symptoms. His symptoms progressively worsened with headaches intensifying and short-term memory loss becoming his most concerning symptom.

Katherine Werner, Lindsay's neighbor who lived one floor up, is a US Commerce Department trade officer who promoted American business from the Guangzhou consulate. She woke up in the middle of the night feeling an intense pressure on both temples along with a low humming sound that was oscillating. She looked around for where the sound was coming from because it was painful.

Werner's symptoms began in October 2017 with hives all over her body, daily headaches, and extreme fatigue. Her symptoms worsened over time, leading to vomiting and nosebleeds. She reports that even her dogs were throwing up blood. Werner initially assumed her illness was connected to China's toxic smog and did not know about the incidents in Cuba at the time.

Werner's mother traveled from the US to live with her for almost three months and also became very ill with the same symptoms, including headaches, ringing in the ears, and difficulty recalling words.

After reporting her experiences, Werner was medically evacuated to the US for treatment. Lindsay believes he was targeted because of his work analyzing electronic threats to diplomatic missions using top secret equipment. He states there is no doubt this was a directed attack against his neighbor and himself.

Lindsay believes this was an energy weapon using radio frequency energy in the microwave range. A clue supporting this theory came from the National Security Agency in 2014, which described a high-powered microwave system weapon that may weaken, intimidate, or kill an enemy over time without leaving evidence by bathing targets' living quarters in microwaves.

The NSA disclosed this information in a workers' compensation case filed by former NSA employee Mike Beck. Beck and an NSA coworker developed Parkinson's disease at the same time after being on assignment overseas in a hostile country in 1996. Beck believes they were attacked with the microwave weapon and shared additional intelligence in a classified briefing with congressional investigators. He confirms the new information is relevant to the Cuba and China cases.

Dr. Tina Shetty, Mark Lindsay's neurologist, noted that Lindsay reported symptoms of headache, memory loss, sleep difficulties, emotionality, and irritability. She was surprised because he had no history of trauma or blow to his head, yet reported a constellation of neurologic symptoms characteristic of mild traumatic brain injury without associated head trauma.

Mark Lindsay is enrolled in a study at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Brain Injury and Repair. The presumption is that something caused a functional brain injury of widespread brain networks, reflected in symptoms affecting multiple brain networks.

Robin and Britta Garfield are among the 40 patients enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania study. Robin Garfield is a trade officer with the commerce department posted in Shanghai with his wife and two young children. They experienced a sound for months on end. Britta Garfield felt something hit her from the left side that felt like an electric shock, then paralyzed her, making her unable to move or speak.

Their children suffered blurred vision and loss of balance, with their daughter falling down multiple times in a single day, including falling on her face during a walk.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed Katherine Werner's case, stating the medical indications were very similar and entirely consistent with those in Cuba. However, the State Department raised doubt about the other 14 China cases. State Department doctors sent Lindsay a note stating his symptoms and findings do not correlate with the Havana cohort.

Lindsay believes the State Department tried to deny, cover up, and minimize the incidents because of the large trade relationship with China, in contrast to Cuba where trade relations are minimal.

State Department doctors told Robin Garfield his illness stems from a baseball injury 17 years ago, which does not explain his wife and children's symptoms. The geopolitical relationship between the US and China is cited as the reason for the determination.

The State Department's refusal to call this an attack has significant impact on the victims' lives, finances, and careers. Being classified as having a pre-existing injury means no access to paid leave and medical bills not covered after one year.

Senator Gene Shaheen wrote to Secretary Pompeo noting that the group from China is increasingly feeling isolated and left behind by the State Department. The State Department stated it would continue providing care regardless of diagnosis or location of medical evacuation, and has asked the National Academies of Sciences to assist in the medical investigation.

The FBI is investigating the incidents. Intelligence sources indicate Russia is a suspect in addition to Cuba and China. If microwaves were used, the technology is not rare, and it could be more than one country using it.

According to the Canadian government, 15 Canadians were injured in Cuba, including diplomats and their families. Incidents have been reported in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Senior national security officials report being stricken in Washington and on the grounds of the White House.

Olivia Troy, homeland security and counterterrorism adviser to Vice President Mike Pence, had served in the Pentagon, deployed to Iraq, and served in the Defense Intelligence Agency and the National Counterterrorism Center. In the summer of 2019, while descending stairs toward the White House, she felt a piercing feeling on the right side of her head with vertigo, unsteadiness, nausea, and disorientation.

The piercing feeling continued as she passed by the west wing entrance. She felt unable to process and experienced a paralyzing panic attack, wondering if she had a brain tumor or was having a stroke.

Troy experienced similar episodes about a year later while walking to her car on the ellipse, with vertigo, dizziness, depth perception issues, and feeling like she was going to fall into the ground. She did not report the episodes initially because she did not want to believe she was seriously ill and worried about the impact on her security clearance and career.

A senior member of the National Security Council was stricken in November 2020 on the same steps by the West Wing. The official described disorientation, ringing in the ears, and general inability to function. He couldn't speak or think clearly and was taken to an emergency room. More than a year later, he continues recovering and suffering from headaches and other symptoms, and has been diagnosed with two other medical conditions believed to be the result of the attack. He remains an outpatient at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Miles Taylor, deputy chief of staff and later chief of staff of the Trump administration Department of Homeland Security, was hit with similar symptoms in April 2018. He woke up in his apartment on Capitol Hill to a strange chirping sound somewhere between a cricket and a digital sound. He saw a white van with brake lights turn on, pull off, and speed away. The episode lasted about 7 to 10 minutes.

About five weeks later, Taylor experienced another incident with off-balance feelings and concussion-like symptoms. He was about to leave for Israel on a congressional delegation to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for sensitive cybersecurity conversations.

Taylor became aware of a US government official more senior than him, roughly at the cabinet level in the Trump administration, who had experienced similar episodes at their place of residence. This was described as a big blinking red light indicating ongoing activity targeting US government officials in the country.

Recent injuries among US officials were reported in Vienna, Austria ahead of a trip by the vice president to Vietnam, in India during a visit by the director of the CIA in 2019, and during a visit by President Trump to London. Two members of John Bolton's national security staff became ill in a hotel that was completely taken up with personnel from the White House and White House agencies.

One of those staff members hurt in London said she was overcome again walking her dog in the Washington area.

Robin Garfield and his family were repeatedly hit in China and evacuated to the University of Pennsylvania for treatment. During their year of treatment in Philadelphia, they were hit again. Garfield's wife woke up and sprinted to check the children after hearing an extremely loud, painful sound. They moved to a hotel where they woke up around 2 a.m. with strange vibrations in their bodies and a sound.

Garfield checked on his children and found both thrashing in their beds while asleep. He heard a very distinct sound like water rushing next to each child's head. He reported this to the FBI. The family continues working to improve balance, eyesight, and memory.

Garfield states that the children impacted are the most difficult aspect of this issue. He personally knows parents of eight other affected children and has seen balance issues in children that never had that trouble, difficulty finding words, stuttering, and continuing challenges around vision. Some parents report these symptoms manifesting in the classroom in real tangible ways.

Persistent neurological symptoms are not the only fight these Americans have faced. Some early reports were dismissed as psychosomatic or connected to infection or pesticide exposure. Some were told they were suffering effects of old sports injuries. One theory suggested the sound victims heard was from a particular species of cicada.

An anonymous individual among the first cases from 2016 worked for a federal agency and was assigned to the US embassy in Cuba. He and his family were struck at home frequently at night. On the first incident, all the dogs in the neighborhood started barking unusually, followed by a loud sound that filled his room and felt like his head was slowly being crushed.

Severe ear pain followed, described as similar to a sharp pencil poking the eardrum. He eventually started blacking out. His brain injuries left him disabled and essentially retired at age 36. He uses a weighted vest for balance, has a service dog for walking and vision loss, and is legally blind in one eye. Doctors have told him the problem is not the eye itself but the wiring, with the signal from the eye to the brain being where the problems occur.

The individual is speaking for the first time to put an end to doubt and is tired of the gaslighting from the US government.

Intelligence officers express deep frustration with the ongoing pattern of injuries affecting their colleagues and friends. New officers who have been trained together are returning from overseas assignments as shadows of their former selves, creating an urgent need for both treatment and prevention of these incidents.

Brain injuries suffered by US officials in Washington and abroad became the focus of an intense investigation. After starting with around 1,000 possible cases, a CIA task force narrowed focus to about two dozen cases that cannot be explained. The task force, which includes the FBI, is led by a CIA officer who helped find Osama bin Laden.

New CIA Director William Burns stated that after early disbelief, these injured Americans can no longer be doubted. In his first week as director, he began dozens of meetings with affected officers and family members, finding their stories powerful, compelling, and sometimes heartbreaking. Burns personally escorted a staff member injured during an official visit to India to medical evaluations.

Each story I've heard, each officer I've met with who's been affected by this just redoubles my commitment and my determination on this issue.

Burns tripled the number of full-time medical personnel working on the issue, streamlined access to Walter Reed, established new partnerships with other world-class medical providers, increased the number of case managers, and made progress on the investigative side.

Dr. David Railman, professor of medicine at Stanford University, helped lead two government panels investigating the injuries. His committees found clear evidence of injury to the auditory and vestibular system of the brain, starting with the inner ear where humans perceive sound and sense balance.

The committees focused on a subset of patients whose experiences were inexplicable. These cases involved an abrupt onset of intense pressure or vibration in the face or head, sometimes with abrupt onset of sound. The sound recorded by a former official in Havana does not cause the injury but is a byproduct, similar to how the sound of a gun is not what causes harm.

Dr. Railman's committees concluded the most likely mechanism was pulsed electromagnetic energy - a focused beam of microwaves fired from a distance. Physicist James Benford, a leading authority on microwaves, confirmed that high power microwave weapons represent the best explanation.

Microwave transmitters can range in size from suitcase units to large tractor trailer units, with larger devices offering longer range. These devices can transmit microwave energy through van walls, home walls, windows, glass, brick, and practically everything. The technology has been studied for over 50 years and developed in approximately a dozen countries, primarily the United States, Russia, and China.

A CIA interim report stated there is no evidence of a massive global campaign to attack Americans. The intelligence community assesses it unlikely that a foreign actor, including Russia, is conducting a sustained worldwide campaign harming US personnel with a weapon or mechanism. Director Burns acknowledged this is a complicated issue dealing with different kinds of explanations for various incidents.

Former national security adviser John Bolton expressed fears about threats to the highest levels of government, citing two national security officials who reported being overcome on West Executive Avenue inside the White House gates. Former Homeland Security Chief of Staff Miles Taylor believes he was targeted in two mysterious incidents at his Washington home.

Someone is trying to send us a message that they can strike blows against us and we can't strike back.

Director Burns stated that while each incident must be taken seriously, the national security structure is not in danger of being incapacitated during a crisis. He emphasized that crossing the line into Washington DC would be profound, but concrete evidence of hostile actor involvement does not yet exist.

FBI agent Carrie, working in counterintelligence, reported being hit in 2021 at her Florida home. She described the sensation as a dentist drilling on steroids, a high-pitched metallic drilling noise that knocked her forward at a 45-degree angle. She experienced pressure and pain coursing from inside her right ear down her jaw, neck, and into her chest.

During the incident, Carrie was by a window in her laundry room with her right ear in line of sight to the window. Her phone battery began to swell until it broke the case. She later passed out on a couch due to chest pain and was checked by a cardiologist before returning to duty.

Carrie reported feeling like she had early Alzheimer's for months afterward, with impacts on short-term memory, long-term memory, confusing memories, and multitasking ability. Her baseline changed and she was not the same person.

One of the cases Carrie was investigating involved Vitali Kovalev, a Russian from St. Petersburg who was caught speeding at 110 mph near Key West, Florida in 2020. A search of his car found notes of bank accounts, a device that erases computer data including GPS records, and a Russian passport.

Journalist Christo Grov traced Kovalev's background, revealing he studied radio electronics at a military institute with particular focus on military use of microelectronics. After two years at the institute, he suddenly decided to become a chef and immigrated to the US, working in New York and Washington DC.

Once trained in the Russian military, personnel remain at the Ministry of Defense's beck and call for the rest of their lives. Kovalev spent 80 hours being interviewed by FBI agent Carrie over months while she investigated multiple Russian spies. He pleaded guilty to evading police and reckless driving, receiving a 30-month sentence.

In 2022, Kovalev returned to Russia despite American warnings he was in danger due to his time with the FBI. Christo Grov found a death certificate indicating Kovalev was killed at the front in Ukraine.

Attorney Mark Zaid, representing Americans working in national security, has more than two dozen clients suffering Havana syndrome symptoms. He represents CIA and State Department clients who believe they've been impacted domestically, with dozens of CIA cases occurring domestically.

Beyond physical symptoms, Zaid's clients report evidence of computer issues during incidents, including computer screens stopping working or flickering on and off. He represents another FBI person impacted in Miami and knows of FBI personnel hit overseas in the last decade.

The common thread among most of Zaid's clients, other than family members, is that they were all doing something relating to Russia. Kovalev served his time and returned to Russia, where he was reportedly killed in Ukraine.

The Pentagon launched a global investigation run by recently retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Greg Ed Green, who had never spoken publicly until this interview. When asked if Americans are being attacked, Ed Green stated his personal opinion is yes, and that Russia is responsible.

Ed Green ran the investigation for the Defense Intelligence Agency from 2021 to 2023, collecting signals intelligence, human intelligence, open-source reporting, internet data, travel records, and financial records. At an early stage, he began focusing on Moscow.

The investigation revealed that impacts were happening to the top 5-10% performing officers across the Defense Intelligence Agency, with consistently a Russia nexus where officers had worked against Russia or focused on Russia and performed extremely well.

The impact has been that intelligence officers and diplomats working abroad are being removed from their posts with traumatic brain injuries, effectively being neutralized. Multiple sources reported an incident at the 2022 NATO summit in Lithuania where a senior Department of Defense official was struck by symptoms and sought medical treatment.

The problem first appeared in public in 2016 with incidents in Cuba, but evidence shows it started two years earlier with at least four Americans reporting symptoms in Frankfurt, Germany in 2014. There is also evidence of revenge attacks, including three CIA officers stationed in Ukraine in 2014 who later reported being hit in Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and London.

Investigative reporter Christo Grov discovered the existence of a top secret Russian intelligence unit designated 29155, trained as versatile assassins and sabotage operators skilled in counter surveillance, explosives, poison, and technology equipment to inflict pain or damage to targets.

Grov found accounting documents showing an officer of unit 29155 received a bonus for work on potential capabilities of non-lethal acoustic weapons, providing evidence that the unit had been engaged in empirical tests of a directed energy unit.

A Justice Department official's wife in Tbilisi, Georgia reported being blindsided on October 7, 2021, by a piercing sound while in her laundry room, describing it as similar to the sound after a bomb goes off in a movie. She experienced fullness in her head, piercing headache, and projectile vomiting.

Sources revealed a phone call intercepted nearby where a man said in Russian, "Is it supposed to have blinking green lights and should I leave it on all night?" The next day the incidents began. Investigation centered on Albert Aaronov, whose name appeared on travel manifests and phone records alongside known members of unit 29155. He is the son of the commander and was groomed to become a member since age 16.

Aaronov's phone was turned off during the Tbilisi incidents, but evidence shows someone logged into his personal email during this time, most likely Aaronov himself, placing him in the city. Grov believes members of unit 29155 were present to facilitate, supervise, or personally implement attacks on American diplomats and government officials using an acoustic weapon.

A woman who was able to exit a laundry room after an incident called her husband and went downstairs. She checked security camera footage beside the front door and observed a vehicle outside the gate that she did not recognize. She took a photograph of the vehicle and went outside, where she saw a man. When shown a photograph of Albert Veranov, she had a visceral reaction and stated that the image looked like the man she saw. She described feeling sick and noted that looking at the photo continues to trigger the same reaction to this day. This 40-year-old wife and mother is among the most severely injured individuals.

The victim experienced continued headaches and brain fog. Later that weekend, she had trouble walking down stairs at night and difficulty finding steps, indicating coordination and vestibular system deterioration. She was medically evacuated, and doctors diagnosed holes in her inner ear canals affecting the vestibular system responsible for balance. Two surgeries inserted metal plates in her skull, with another surgery likely required. She described the situation as absolutely devastating.

Despite such severe cases, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence stated last year that it is very unlikely a foreign adversary is responsible. The DNI acknowledged that some intelligence agencies had only low or moderate confidence in that assessment. The National Institutes of Health reported brain scan results showing no evidence of physical damage, though the medical science of anomalous health incidents remains vigorously debated. The director of national intelligence attributes symptoms to pre-existing conditions, conventional illnesses, and environmental factors.

Attorney Mark Zade represents more than two dozen AHI clients and has had access to classified information relating to AHI. He stated that he does not believe the public assessment represents the entire story and knows of information that undermines or contradicts official statements. He asserted there is without a doubt evidence of a cover-up, though not necessarily because a weapon was found and needs to be hidden. Instead, lines of inquiry that could lead to unwanted answers are being avoided. He quoted his mother saying, "It's the Russians, stupid."

Greg Ed Green, who ran the military investigation, had Pentagon support but stated that in both Trump and Biden administrations, the bar for proof was set impossibly high. He believes this was because the country and government did not want to face hard truths about securing America, counterintelligence failures, and whether Americans are being attacked on American soil. He questioned whether such attacks would constitute an act of war. After his classified investigation, he retired from the army to start a company helping victims and hopes to channel government contracts into treatment programs.

A classified US intelligence mission obtained a previously unknown weapon that may unlock the mystery. Since at least 2016, US diplomats, spies, and military officers have suffered crippling brain injuries from an overwhelming force damaging vision, hearing, sense of balance, and cognition. The government has doubted their stories, calling them delusional. A weapon capable of inflicting these injuries was obtained overseas and secretly tested on animals at a US military base.

Chris, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who worked on highly classified spy satellites, and his wife Heidi experienced multiple attacks near Washington DC. Chris described five attacks in five months. The first felt like being punched in the throat, with his left ear clogging and sharp shooting pains down his left arm. The second attack felt like an immediate vice on his head, causing disorientation, confusion, and dizziness. The third attack caused his spine muscles to cramp like a Charlie horse, with his spine feeling hot and sharp. The fifth attack was the worst, involving a full body convulsion and vice-like pain gripping his brain stem.

Heidi experienced immense joint pain everywhere and shoulder pain in her left shoulder with no trauma. She was diagnosed with osteolysis, where bones in her shoulder were dissolving, requiring surgery. She takes two neurological drugs daily and experiences severe symptoms without them. She sustained significant damage to multiple organ systems. Both Chris and Heidi believe they were attacked by a foreign adversary in the line of duty.

Multiple victims described similar experiences despite never meeting. An FBI agent described a sound like a dentist drilling on steroids inside his right ear. A Commerce Department official in China described intense pressure on both temples. An early victim from Cuba described severe ear pain like a sharp pencil poking the eardrum. A wife of a Justice Department official in Europe described a piercing sound coming through the window into her left ear, followed by fullness in the head and piercing headache. Multiple surgeries have attempted to repair bones in inner ears and skulls, with many victims having lifelong disabilities.

The government acknowledges injuries and often pays for healthcare but has doubted the cause, suggesting atmospheric or environmental factors, viruses, pre-existing conditions, or mass hysteria. Dr. David Realman, a Stanford University professor of medicine, led two government investigations in 2020 and 2022. Both investigations concluded that the most plausible explanation for a subset of cases was radio frequency or microwave energy. His panels included doctors, physicists, and engineers.

Dr. Realman's investigations found that the large majority of work on creating unique microwave patterns that can damage the brain was conducted in the former Soviet Union. Russian research documented effects ranging from loss of consciousness to seizures, memory lapses, inability to concentrate, headaches, intense pressure, pain, disorientation, and difficulty with balance. The Russians had conducted experiments in this area for decades.

A 2014 reference to a weapon was compelled by lawsuit, with the National Security Agency confirming intelligence of a high-powered microwave system weapon associated with a hostile country. However, the CIA believed such a weapon would need enormous power and be truck-sized, making it unlikely. When Dr. Realman's expert panel suggested microwave injuries, the idea was shelved by federal officials. He expressed concern about the confidence with which others dismissed the work without providing new evidence.

A former CIA officer who volunteered for the AHI investigation in 2021 described seeing lives destroyed, careers ruined, and children with lifelong developmental issues. He witnessed colleagues with cognitive issues and secondary effects years later. Upon joining the AHI unit at CIA headquarters, he was told their job was to "bring down the temperature on AHI," meaning to work toward atmospheric and environmental explanations rather than state actor involvement.

The former CIA officer described a senior AHI unit member suggesting a happy hour where they would simulate AHIs and drink together, with the person emulating having a stroke and making fun of victims. He described this as disgusting. Multiple officers shortened their tours, and families left early due to fear of AHI, including his own family. The investigation was focused on proving psychosomatic, atmospheric, or environmental causes rather than investigating state actors.

About the same time the CIA investigation ended in 2022, a different classified mission was underway. US agents investigating illicit arms dealers heard that a Russian criminal network was selling a microwave weapon. Undercover Department of Homeland Security agents purchased the weapon in 2024 for approximately $15 million, funded by the Pentagon.

The weapon is portable, concealable, and uses relatively little power. It has been described as not looking like a gun, designed to be concealed and small enough to be carried by a person. It is silent and does not create heat like a microwave oven. The device is programmable for different scenarios and can be operated by remote control. The beam range is several hundred feet and can penetrate windows and drywall. Vital components were made in Russia, with the key being the software that shapes a unique electromagnetic wave that rises and falls abruptly and pulses rapidly.

The weapon has been tested in a US military lab for more than a year on rats and sheep, showing injuries consistent with those seen in humans. Security camera videos show Americans being hit, including one from a restaurant in Istanbul showing two FBI agents and their families suddenly grabbing their heads in pain when a man with a backpack walked in. Another video from a stairwell in the US embassy in Vienna shows two people suddenly collapsing on stairs leading to a secure facility.

The Biden administration summoned about half a dozen victims to the White House with about two months left in the president's term. Dr. Realman, then a White House adviser, organized the meeting. Dr. Paul Friedri, a retired major general and former Pentagon doctor, apologized to victims, stating he had never seen in 30 plus years of practicing military medicine victims treated in such a terrible manner. The Biden White House wrote a public statement backing the victims but never released it.

The Trump administration has not changed the 2023 intelligence assessment that it is very unlikely victims were attacked. However, the Trump administration has briefed top intelligence officials in Congress and shown them a classified picture of the weapon. At the Pentagon, people who investigated the attacks for the Department of Defense have been moved to a unit that develops new weapons.

The former CIA officer who quit the investigation assessed that if Russia was the state actor, the operation would be considered a resounding intelligence success. The fear, paranoia, and anxiety created in the United States and overseas would have an astronomical impact. He believes the Russians saw the fear and paranoia they created, which is why the incidents continued over a span of a year. He suggested the government may have wanted to bury the issue because acknowledging a state actor would essentially be a declaration of war requiring a response.

In a 2024 story developed in collaboration with Russian dissident magazine The Insider, evidence was found of Russian involvement when the wife of a Justice Department official was seriously wounded overseas. An agent of Russian intelligence was present in her vicinity at the time of the incident.

The Department of Defense declined to comment for this report. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which oversees 18 agencies including the CIA, stated that a new review of AHI will be comprehensive and complete, with a commitment to delivering the truth.

Chris and Heidi, who were attacked five times in their home, expressed hope that the government would follow through on its commitment to truth. Chris emphasized that the country needs to acknowledge that adversaries can now reach targets within the United States, specifically at their homes.

When asked what the government owes victims, Chris stated that a Purple Heart would serve as acknowledgment of the sacrifice made by injured military personnel and their families.

Sources who informed the reporting indicated that the classified mission to obtain the microwave weapon reveals a troubling reality: there are likely many of these devices in existence. The fact that undercover agents could purchase one from gangsters suggests that the Russians have lost control of this stealth weapon, creating the possibility that it could be used by anyone anywhere.
