Matt was front-end engineer and engineering manager at RelQ (acquired by Salesforce). At Salesforce, struggled to be proactive; constantly reactive, jumping between meetings/problems/one-on-ones, no time for larger projects. Observed same on team: software engineers, design, marketing lacking time for important work. Intelligent, motivated people want to deliver great work, but schedules conspire against them.
