Anyone without organic support drums it up via NGOs, companies hiring rally attendees to win power. Presidents can achieve much. UK needs someone to strip away issues. Need generation teaching patriotism, morals, ethics, free speech, debate as essential to elevated society—not one ideology like denying gender reality or inability to define "woman."

People vote for it: ideology (left blue no matter who, red = racist fascist); no centrist option. Most Americans centrist, socially liberal (even conservatives).
Financially, many are much more aligned with conservative ideology. Ultimately, the brick wall of reality will cure this, if society isn't destroyed along the way, if rights aren't completely eroded. Rights once lost are never regained. Look at Australia: one mass shooting in the 1990s led to gun confiscation; during COVID, they enforced quarantine camps.
Australia introduced a new hate speech law after the Bondi Beach shooting, which is draconian. It criminalizes speech not intended to stir hatred but that could conceivably stir it among a theoretical group, punishable by 5 years in prison. Instead of blaming hate speech, blame allowing wild violent criminals to immigrate. Amazing gaslighting: rather than stop illegal entry of violent criminals, criminalize dissent of innocent people.
In the UK, politician David Amess was stabbed to death by an Islamist at his surgery (where politicians meet constituents face-to-face). Instead of addressing the knife-wielding maniac or unchecked Islamism, parliament debated cracking down on online free speech.
After the Southport incident where girls were killed in a dance class by a child of immigrants (mentioned as Kharma earlier), the response was to ban buying knives from Amazon (though knives are available in shops and most homes have kitchen knives). Around the same time, they banned ninja swords.
This allows chaos as a coordinated plan: more chaos, gaslighting, and ideological attachment leads to restricting rights further until people give up. Now, people see through it. In the UK, despite smearing Reform as far-right, their polls keep rising due to the internet's dissenting voices and palpable absurdities politicians push.
Labour Party cancelled/postponed local elections they're likely to lose, claiming system reform; efforts to get rid of juries. Public sees through propaganda: can't vote, no jury in court, can't browse Twitter, can't say the wrong thing online. Enough is enough.
Hammet Koskin (Armenian man) burned his own Quran outside the Turkish embassy to protest Erdogan's government supporting Islamism. Two attackers assaulted him (one with a knife, another a Deliveroo driver kicking him). He was prosecuted for inciting violence; the judge ruled his attack proved incitement. Free Speech Union overturned it, arguing peaceful protest, his own book, no blasphemy laws in UK. Now CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) appeals to prosecute him, pushing an Islamic blasphemy code.
Labour Party wants official Islamophobia definition to prevent criticism. People believe in plurality and freedom of religion: nothing against Muslims, but object to inability to ridicule, mock, or protest their religion, then pathologize it as Islamophobia.
School kid in Wakefield accidentally scuffed a Quran, hit with non-crime hate incident, police involved. No idea is beyond criticism. British public's patience is at an end.
Hope it's not too late. Andrew Doyle's book The End of Woke is available; he did the audiobook. Better in author's voice. Hope UK figures it out. Doyle escaped to America, but it shouldn't require escape—only submitters and imported chaos left. America must not go to pot, as it's part of Doyle's business model.
